The 2016 Savannah Film Fest kicked off Saturday 22, right outside of Jen Library, with an opening reception and red carpet. Performing arts students transformed into puppeteers, sauntering puppets down Broughton Street to french music, and with that, the celebration began.

Those who walked the red carpet include President Paula Wallace accompanied by her husband Glenn Wallace, winners of the 2016 Bumper Contest, actor Rodrigo Santoro (“Dominion”); executive producer/actress Shannon Elizabeth, executive producer Paul Robert Lingas, producers George Elias Stephanopoulos, Stamatios Tom Hiotis, and cast members Manos Gavras and Renos Haralambidis (“Swing Away”); director/writer Leila Djansi and producer Whitney Valcin (“Like Cotton Twines”); director Clay Tweel (“Gleason”) and director/writer Lucas Gregg (“Through the Pine”).
