Midterms are just around the corner and students are gearing up for the long week ahead with comfort food and energy drinks to power them through the night. After that, students are left with evidence of their stress eating. With five more weeks until summer vacation, they need to get rid of it fast.

Anna Vetter, a second-year Fibers major, is ready to put on her sunscreen and hit the beach. Before that, she is working on a bikini body with the help of SCAD’s Director of Student Recreation and Intramurals, Eddie Concepcion. Throughout the weeks, Concepcion will be teaching Vetter a series of workouts that will not only keep her body beach ready, but will also keep her fit and ready to handle the rest of summer.

In the first week, Concepcion taught Vetter “a couple of fundamental movements that people know but are doing wrong,” such as air squatting, push-ups and sit-ups. Concepcion also advised the student that “rest is just as important” as training.
