UPDATE:
The Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department has identified the body of the 44-year-old woman found in the Savannah River near the Waving Girl statue on October 15.
While the police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death, they report she most likely took her own life.

Savannah-Chatham County Metropolitan Police Department retrieved a body that was seen floating in the Savannah River today at 12:06 p.m.
SCMPD spokeswoman Gena Moore, said, “The body was retrieved by the Waving Girl statue.” No further information has been released.
