College Security Report: Aug. 24-30, 2009

No activity was reported.

Aug. 25

10:15 a.m.— A SCAD employee reported to security that several paintings in several studio rooms in Alexander Hall had been covered by old roofing particles and dust while JCB Roofers were working on the roof. Security responded to the scene and took pictures of the damage.

11:02 a.m.— Security responded to a call box alarm activation at Eckburg Hall. A patrol of the area was conducted and nothing out of the ordinary was found.

5:15 p.m.— A SCAD student reported to security that his iPhone had been stolen out of a room in Eckburg Hall. He stated that he had left the phone in the room #106 at 11 p.m. Aug. 24, and that the phone was missing when he returned to the room at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 25.

Aug. 29

9:40 a.m.— Sonitrol alarm company notified security of a smoke detector activation at Poetter Hall. Security determined that the alarm was caused by painting contractors working in the building. Sonitrol was notified and the building was placed on test mode until 6 p.m.
