SCAD’s Equestrian team was able to walk away with a win in the 12-team show with 44 points. The Bees scored 11 more than the defending region champion, University of Central Florida. However, the day didn’t start out with such optimism, due to the weather. There had been an announcement at the start of the meet about umbrellas potentially startling the horses. To everyone’s surprise the rain slowed and even stopped just as the first group of riders finished with their flat course. As the fence rides began, the humidity started to get worse, but even with the less than desirable weather, all of the riders did their best.
