Though the student-curated “Ubiquitous Forms” gallery exhibition is all about ‘existing or being everywhere at the same time,’ the student led drawing organization, It’s All On Paper, will host the one and only opening reception exclusively at Whit’s End art gallery this Friday, Feb. 20 at 7:30-10 p.m.

Awards including Best of the Show, Second Prize and Honorable Mention will be announced at the opening reception. There will also be live music, refreshments and interactive installations.

The exhibition will feature student works pertaining to the topic of ubiquity. This prompt allows students the ability to individualize their work based on their own interpretations. Featured works will include 2-D and 3-D art of many different mediums.

“[We’re] excited to curate such a diverse and stimulating dialogue of works,” said Sandy Owens, a second-year animation major from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and the Vice President of It’s All On Paper.

“Ubiquitous Forms” is several months in the making and will serve as a fundraising event. All proceeds will help It’s All On Paper travel to New York, where they will have the opportunity to visit a drawing room at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and see art out-of-frame.

“It’s All On Paper has been an invaluable part of my experience as a SCAD student. I’m excited to see where [it] can go,” said Owens.

The exhibition will be open until Feb. 27.
