Shortly afterward, another call reporting a robbery came from Comfort Suites at 630 W. Bay St. The victim gave the police the same description and stated the man left in a white Chevy with a camper shell and partial tag.

At 2:25 p.m., the alert tones signaled a bank robbery at First Chatham Bank at 111 Barnard St. SCMPD were already in the area looking for the white Chevy and effectively swarmed the crime zone.
