A Savannah man has been charged with transmitting a false public alarm.
The man, Maurice Bowens, 43, called in bomb threats to a local daycare center on May 18 and May 20. Both times, the daycare center was evacuated and premises searched, but no bomb was found. The daycare center is on the 300 block of West 32nd Street.
Bowens was arrested this afternoon. The calls allegedly stemmed from a domestic dispute with an employee at the daycare center.
