On Wednesday April 2 at the Student Center, SCAD Student Activities Council held auditions for the twelfth annual SCAD Talent Show.  Last year’s SCAD Talent winner, Konfidential Dance Crew, performed in front of the judges for the second time.

“As a team, we all are interested in doing the Talent Show each year,” said Nathaniel Myles, a fourth-year performing arts major and president of Konfidential. “It’s fun and a great way to get ourselves out there.”

They were electric during auditions. While they were only given two minutes to bring it, they brought it with their saucy pop rendition.

“We weren’t intimidated by the other talent,” Myles said. “We believe in our abilities and we knew we were going to get up there and do our best.”

While Konfidential came to the scene fierce, it was clear they weren’t the only ones ready to own the dance floor. Dancer Jacqueline Argusa, a third-year performing arts major, performed a seamless classical-contemporary routine for the audience with ease.

“I auditioned because I just wanted to be able to have another chance to be up on the stage doing something I am so passionate about,” Argusa said. “I am looking forward to entertaining the audience by sharing with them what I love and enjoying watching the other performers share their talents.”

That same driven attitude won Konfidential and Argusa a spot on the Trustees stage amongst nine other acts. From beat poets to solo guitarists, the competition brought a slew of performances to the forefront. They will battle for a cash prize and the chance to be crowned SCAD Talent. Here is the lineup:

1. Jazmin Uhruh
