At 5:17 p.m. two cars crashed at the intersection of Jones and West Boundary streets. One car continued into the fence surrounding Boundary Village.

Gale Mackenzie, a local Savannah resident, said she was driving her Buick LeSabre down West Boundary Street and did not see the oncoming Chrysler 300 Touring. She was unclear about which car began the left turn that resulted in the collision.

Third year Production Design major Michael James from Kansas City, Missouri, heard the crash.

“It was a head-on collision,” he said. “I’m not sure who’s [at] fault.”

Two unidentified young women who were in the Chrysler were put in an ambulance.
