Dining hall options getting a little repetitive? Looking for some fun snacks to spice up Spring Quarter? We’ve got the recipes for you!
Starting strong with a couple classic charcuterie board elements, cheese and chocolate. No instructions necessary, just dip away for a wonderful contrast.
- Cheez-Its and Nutella
- Chocolate Pudding and Cheetos
For some more refreshing, springtime options, here are a few fruit concoctions to liven your palate.
- Frozen Candied Grapes: To prepare, you should pour lime juice over green grapes, mix and chill, then roll in sugar, (or your preferred sweetener), freeze for 2-3 hours and enjoy!
- Baked Brie and Strawberries: Place your brie in a ramekin or dish of some kind, preheat your oven to 350 degrees, and bake for 15-20 minutes (or microwave for 2 minutes). Then combine!
- Strawberries and Creme Fraiche: Here the strawberries are the main event, accompanied by some light and sweet creme fraiche for balance.
Now for those of you with a sweet tooth, a couple ice cream creations!
- Vanilla Ice Cream, Olive Oil, and a Pinch of Sea Salt: Tik Tok went crazy for this one, with the earthy bite of the olive oil and salt apparently cutting the sweetness of the ice cream. Assemble to taste, and give it a try.
- Pickles and Vanilla Ice Cream: This one’s a bit more odd sounding, but pregnant women love it. For a more appetizing sounding variation, try dill pickle chips dipped in a vanilla shake!
And lastly, to wash it all down, a few beverage ideas.
- Chocolate Milk and Cold Brew: Just mix to your liking – a makeshift mocha, if you will.
- Seltzer with Lime: An oldie but a goodie. It’s the perfect season for this bright, refreshing drink.
- Papaya Mango Smoothie: To prepare, combine one cup of coconut milk with ¾ cups each of papaya and mango, half a banana, and ¼ cup greek yogurt in a blender. Blend one cup of coconut milk in slowly, adding more until you reach your desirable consistency.
Now pick your favorite and enjoy a little treat. You deserve it!
