SCAD Alumna Whitney Valcin discusses ‘Like Cotton Twines’

Producer, Whitney Valcin sat down to discuss “Like Cotton Twines.” Valcin graduated from SCAD with a B.F.A in film and television in 2010 and has since returned for the screening of her film.
Valcin worked with former SCAD student and director of the film, Leila Djansi. The duo worked together on multiple films, telling stories–similar to this one–that pertain to women’s issues.
Excited to be back and to see her hard work playing at her alma mater’s annual film festival, Valcin shared what drew her to the story, the difficulties they faced and advice for SCAD students in the industry.
