SAVFF day three attracts hundreds of attendees

Highly anticipated gala screening “Knives Out” brought hundreds of attendees to the Trustees Theater Monday, Oct. 28 with lines forming at 4:30 p.m. Meanwhile, honored guests Aldis Hodge, Sienna Miller and Shatterbox Filmmakers appeared on the red carpet for interviews and photos.
Animated shorts and new Voyager experiences kicked off the morning, followed by a numerous panels. Preceding their red carpet appearance, representatives from Refinery 29 held conversations about the film industry. Attendees viewed recent films from “Pollinators” to “Working Man” that afternoon.
Later, The “Who done it” comedic murder investigation “Knives Out” and 9:30 p.m.’s dramatic depiction of death row ‘Clemency,’ ” both garnered crowds around the block.

Finally, ticket holders joined either award recipients Aldis Hodge or Sienna Miller for discussions following evening screenings.
From slug-bug photo booths to block-long popcorn lines, nearly 63,000 attendees from all over the world participate in the festival. The week-long movie marathon will continue through Saturday, Nov. 2.
