District is the official student newspaper of SCAD. Our editorial content is entirely student produced. Papers are available every Friday for free at most SCAD buildings. Our editorial staff is paid a small monthly stipend – all other work is done on a volunteer basis. Since 2000, District has received over 100 state, regional and national awards, including a National Pacemaker Award in 2004. District is devoted to providing the SCAD student population news and content relevant and important to being a SCAD student in Savannah, Ga. District encourages student involvement, and believes that our newspaper is the student voice of SCAD.
