Active Minds, a SCAD Savannah club, is aiming to encourage and empower students to speak openly about their mental health. Their goal is to make SCAD’s campus a safe and stigma free environment.
To promote healthy growth, Active Minds hosts events to bring students together and take a break from their academic stress. Their next event is a Popcorn Night in the Arnold Theater, Oct. 11, where students can learn about the importance of mental health. If you can’t make this event, Active Minds holds biweekly meetings every other Sunday. The next one is on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 11:30 a.m. in the Jen Library, room 100.
