Brett Bell talks local government [BULLETIN]

Bret Bell, the public information director for Savannah, will discuss journalism and local government with students this Friday. The event is part of our Eat and Educate series sponsored by the SCAD chapter of the Society for Collegiate Journalists (SCJ). The talk is open to all students as well as faculty and staff members.

Bret has spent the last six years in public information for the city. He previously spent 10 years as a newspaper journalist in Savannah and Colorado. Having been on both sides of the fence, Bret understands what to cover in local government and how to cover it. He’ll start at the bottom with the how and why of our local government structure.

Oh, and did we mention that there will be pizza? Yeah.
