Performing arts department presents senior shows

The performing arts department will present senior shows by Ryan Brown, David Sterritt, Emily House and Makoto Takani on Friday, February 29 and Saturday, March 1. Makoto Takani will star in “Asian Invasion,” which she wrote, and Emily House will direct “Keely and Du,” about two women dealing with abortion. Both of these shows will be on Friday at 8 p.m. in the Mondanaro Theatre. Ryan Brown will direct “Wasp,” written by Steve Martin, and David Sterritt will star in “21A,” by Kevin Kling, on Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Mondanaro Theatre. All shows are free and open to the public.

Options for a Chemical-free Life group

Students who are concerned about drug use or excessive drinking may not be predisposed to addiction, but may still want to drink responsibly or completely eliminate chemical use. This group employs cognitive techniques to identify and modify alcohol and drug-related triggers. The meeting will be on Friday, Feb. 29 from 4-5 p.m. in York Hall. To register, call (912) 525-6971.

Art Therapy group

The art therapy group will meet on Wednesday, March 5 from 4-5 p.m. in York Hall. The group uses various art mediums to explore and expand self-awareness, identification and self-esteem. For more information, call Lita Clary at (912) 525-6971.
