On Oct. 8, the SCAD Buzz Bus, part of the Book Buddies mentoring and reading program, visited the Garrison School of Visual and Performing Arts to donate books from the Jen Library.
More than 35 SCAD students volunteered to distribute more than 500 donated books and read to classes. The SCAD drum line performed while SCAD’s mascot, Art the Bee, rallied the crowd of K-8 students. The SCAD and Garrison students created an assembly line to pass the stacks of books hand-to-hand from the bus to the library shelves.
