Celebrating the life of Flannery O’Connor [PHOTO ESSAY]

Residents of Savannah came together on Sunday, March 29, to celebrate the the 90th birthday of Flannery O’Connor, an award-winning author born in Savannah in 1925. The celebration consisted of live music, a street market and a parade of people dressed in costumes inspired on Flannery O’Connor’s books. The annual event was held in Lafayette Square, the park in front of her childhood home.
