College Security Report: April 28 – May 4, 2008
April 28
2:08 a.m. – A student reported that her vehicle had been vandalized while parked at Dyson House. The student did not want to file a police report.
8:09 p.m. – A student became ill at Dyson House. Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the student for treatment.
April 29
11:34 p.m. – Security responded to an alarm at Trustees Theater. The building was checked and the alarm was reset.
11:36 p.m. – Graffiti was found near the pedestrian gate at Turner Annex. Photos were taken to document the graffiti.
April 30
4:10 p.m. – Security responded to a small brush fire at the Turner bridge. The fire was extinguished and police and fire department officials responded to make sure the fire would not re-ignite.
5:35 p.m. – Security discovered the courtyard gate at Norris Hall had been damaged and would not lock. The maintenance office was notified.
9:02 p.m. – A student accidentally cut her finger while working at Eckburg Hall. The student stated she did not need further medical attention.
May 1
6:03 a.m. – A student reported to security that a male was driving slowly around Pulaski Square. The man then exited his vehicle, wearing no pants, and began masturbating. The man followed her up the stairs at Pulaski House and she ran inside. Police responded and a report was filed.
8:20 a.m. – A student became ill at Pepe Hall. Emergency medical personnel responded, but the student refused treatment and was driven to the hospital by another student.
11:30 p.m. – A RA requested security assistance to a Weston House room where students were consuming alcohol. The alcohol was confiscated.
May 2
112 a.m. – A student reported he was robbed at gunpoint while trying to enter the Ships of the Sea courtyard after hours with two friends. The student said his wallet was taken. A police report was filed.
3:06 a.m. – Police reported to security that they had found a student passed out on the curb in front of Bergen Hall. The student presented a false ID. Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the student for treatment. A police report was filed.
1:18 p.m. – The manager of shopSCAD reported that an ex-employee had stolen cash from the store. A police report was filed.
4:48 p.m. – An alarm was activated at Boundary Village. The Savannah Fire Department responded and reported the alarm was false and the system needed maintenance.
4:48 p.m. – Another alarm was activated at Boundary Village. The Savannah Fire Department responded and reported the alarm was false and the system needed maintenance.
5:50 p.m. – An alarm was activated at Barnard Village. The Savannah Fire Department responded and reported the alarm was caused by a student cooking.
7:55 p.m. – Security responded to an alarm at Kiah Hall. The alarm was determined to be false, but could not be reset.
10:30 p.m. – Security was notified of an off-campus vehicle accident at the intersection of 31st and Abercorn streets involving a student. A police report was filed.
May 3
3:11 a.m. – Two students reported that another student was breaking glass on fire alarm stations at Turner House. Security responded, but the suspect had departed.
12:02 p.m. – A student reported that her ID card was missing.
7:21 p.m. – An alarm was activated at Boundary Village. Security responded, determined the alarm was false and reset the system.
7:58 p.m. – A student became ill at Turner House. Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the student for treatment.
May 4
7 a.m. – A student was transported for medical treatment from Oglethorpe House.
4:46 p.m. – A student reported that a pair of sunglasses was missing from his room at Dyson House. The student did not want to file a report.
