College Security Report Aug.22-25, 2011
August 22
3:05 a.m. — A resident director informed security that there was a possible medical emergency at Turner Annex involving a student that may have overdosed on medication. EMS responded to the scene and transported the student to Memorial University Medical Center.
August 23
12:35 a.m. — Security received a call regarding a student who made a comment on a social networking site indicating he was going to harm himself. Security notified the on-call counselor who responded to the student’s off-campus residence.
1:20 a.m. — An ABM Janitorial Services employee notified security that he observed two individuals in Gulfstream Center after hours attempting to disconnect a computer. Security responded to the scene but the two individuals were no longer there. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police responded to the scene and issued a crime report. It was unclear at the time of the report whether any items were missing from the building.
11:28 a.m. — Security responded to a maintenance alarm at Alexander Hall. Stanley Alarm Systems was notified of the alarm.
12:20 p.m. — Security discovered a rear door near the dock at Gulfstream Center propped open. Security closed and secured the door.
