College Security Report: Aug. 26-Sept. 1, 2008

Aug. 26

8:26 p.m.— Security discovered the handicapped door at York Hall was unsecured.  An interior patrol of the building was conducted and the door was secured.

9:01p.m.—Security responded to alarm malfunction at Jen Library.  Security called the alarm company to confirm the system devices would function normally.  A work order was placed to have the system checked.

Aug. 27

7:30 p.m.—A SCAD employee reported that someone had hit the driver side right front fender of her vehicle while it was parked at Oglethorpe House.  She stated that she had parked the car at 8:30 a.m. and that she noticed the damage when she returned to the car at 7:05 p.m.  Police responded to the scene and generated a report.

Aug. 30

9:28 a.m.—Security responded to an alarm activation at Arnold Hall.  Upon investigation, it was determined that the alarm was caused by contractors working at the site.  The alarm was silenced and reset.

3:04 p.m.—Security was given a found wallet belonging to a SCAD student. The wallet was returned to the student, who stated that nothing was missing from the wallet.

4:34 p.m. Security discovered the rear fire door of Boundary Hall was unsecured.  A patrol was conducted of the building and the door was secured.

4:43 p.m.—Security discovered an elevator in Oglethorpe House was malfunctioning and stopped on the first floor.  A work order was placed for its repair.
