5:28 a.m.— Sonitrol alarm company notified security of multiple motion alarms being activated at Kiah Hall. Security responded to the scene and confirmed that all windows and doors were secure. Extra patrols were scheduled for the building.

Jan. 2

10 p.m.— A SCAD parent called dispatch and informed security that his daughter, a SCAD student, had filed a domestic violence complaint against her ex-boyfriend, who is a fellow SCAD student, with the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police earlier in the day. The parent wanted to let security know of the situation since both individuals attend SCAD.

Jan. 3

9:58 a.m.— Sonitrol alarm company notified security of an alarm activation at a room in Barnard Village. Security responded to the scene and determined that the alarm was false, but could not reset the panel. Sonitrol was notified of the situation and stated that they would send a tech out to check the system.

11 a.m.— An ABM janitorial services employee notified security that he had discovered a .22 rifle in the Dumpster behind Poetter Hall. Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police responded to the scene and removed the rifle.

Jan. 5

12:05 p.m.— A SCAD student called dispatch and stated that she was having an allergic reaction to a peanut butter cookie she had eaten on River Street. EMS was notified and responded to the scene. EMS transported the student to Memorial University Medical Center.
