College Security Report: Feb. 9, 2009

Feb. 9

4:28 p.m.— Security responded to a medical call at Anderson Hall. A SCAD student had cut her finger with an X-Acto knife while working on a project in class.

5:35 p.m.— Security responded to a medical call at Arnold Hall. A SCAD student stated that she was suffering a panic attack. EMS responded to the scene and transported the student to Memorial Hospital.

6:35 p.m.— Security responded to a vehicle accident at a room in Dyson House. A SCAD student had driven her vehicle into the glass window of the dorm room. She stated that she was attempting to back out of a parking space, but did not realize that she had placed the car into drive and not reverse. A SCAD student was in the room at the time of the accident, but was not injured. Another SCAD student was a passenger in the vehicle, and was also uninjured. Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene and issued a report. The janitorial service and maintenance were notified of the incident.

7:54 p.m.— Security responded to a medical call at Bergen Hall. A SCAD student stated that her throat was closing up due to a possible allergic reaction. EMS responded to the scene and transported the student to Memorial Hospital.
