December 1
6:40 a.m. — Security responded to a “trouble” alarm at the SCAD Museum. The alarm was determined to be a false alarm and was reset.
December 2
3:15 p.m. — A professor reported to security that her vehicle had been broken into in North Carolina at her hotel. A SCAD laptop and SCAD building keys were taken from the vehicle. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department filed a report of the incident.
5:10 p.m. — Security responded to an alarm activation at Café SCAD. A faulty duct was determined to have caused the alarm. The alarm was silenced and reset.
8:57 p.m. — Security discovered an unsecured door at Lucas Theater. A patrol of the building was conducted and the door was then secured.

9:13 p.m. — A student called dispatch and requested to speak to an on-call counselor. The student’s information was passed on to the counselor.
December 7
10:20 a.m. — A student reported to security that his cell phone was missing from his personal vehicle parked at an off campus location. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle.
December 8
2:20 p.m. — Security responded to a room at Turner House in reference to a broken window. Maintenance was notified of the damage.
5 p.m. — Security responded to a “trouble” alarm at Habersham Hall. The alarm was determined to be a false alarm and was reset.
December 9
8:05 p.m. — Security discovered an unsecured rear door at Bobbie’s Diner. The Sodexho manager was notified and the door was then secured.
10:34 p.m. — Security discovered the front door to Keys Hall unsecured. A patrol of the building was conducted and the door was then secured.

1:55 a.m. — Security responded to a call box activation at Eckburg Hall. The alarm was determined to be a false alarm.
11:35 a.m. — Security discovered a broken window on the Charlton side of Pulaski Hall. Maintenance was notified of the damage.
December 11
3 a.m. — Security responded to a “low battery” alarm at Boundary Hall. The system was reset and the issue was placed on the maintenance work order log.
December 12
9:30 a.m. — Security discovered damage to the doorframe of a room of Boundary Village. Maintenance was notified of the damage.
11:20 a.m. — Security responded to an alarm activation at River Club. The alarm was determined to be a false alarm and was reset.
December 13
2:20 p.m. — Security responded to a pull station alarm activation at River Club. The alarm was determined to be a false alarm and was reset.
2:40 p.m. — Security observed an ABM Industries employee prop open a door at Adler Hall and leave the door unattended. When the employee was instructed to keep the door secured, he became verbally aggressive to the security officer and a SCAD professor.
2:57 p.m. — Security discovered an unsecured rear door at Byte Café. A patrol of the area was conducted and the door was then secured.
7:19 p.m. — Security discovered a side door and a fire door at JO’s Cafe both unsecured. A patrol of the area was conducted and the door was then secured.

2:36 a.m. — Security responded to a fire alarm at a room of Abercorn Terrace. The alarm was determined to be a false alarm and was reset.
5:20 p.m. — Security discovered an unsecured rear door at Alexander Hall. A patrol of the building was conducted and the door was then secured.
5:40 p.m. — Security discovered an unsecured room door at Weston House. A patrol of the room was conducted and the door was then secured.
