College Security Report Oct. 11-13, 2010

October 11

8:05 a.m. — Security observed A SCAD student back her vehicle into the rear bumper of another vehicle. The student left her insurance and contact information on the unoccupied vehicle.

8:10 a.m. — A SCAD student reported to security that the mirror of his vehicle damaged the mirror of the vehicle parked next to him. He left his insurance and contact information on the unoccupied vehicle.

4:58 p.m. — Security responded to a “smoke” alarm at Pulaski House. Security met the Savannah Fire Department at the scene. The alarm was determined to be a false alarm and the system was silenced and reset.

October 12

No activity reported.

October 13

11:46 a.m. — Security responded to a report of a student having a seizure at Hamilton Hall. The student stated that they did not need EMS response and that they occasionally suffer seizures due to an ongoing medical condition.

4 p.m. — Security responded to an alarm activation at Abercorn Terrace. The alarm was determined to be a false alarm and the system was reset.

4:35 p.m. — Security observed Savannah-Chatham Metro Police at Boundary Hall in reference to a minor vehicle accident at Boundary Hall. Police issued a crime report.

6:52 p.m. — A SCAD student informed security that they observed an unknown male in Forsyth Hall. The student stated that they were not sure if the male was a student or a guest of a student, but that they had never seen him before. Security responded to the scene, but could not find anyone matching the description given.

8:20 p.m. — Security responded to Café SCAD in reference to an unconscious student. Security met EMS at the scene where Savannah-Chatham Metro Police was also called. Police was able to determine his identity by checking his ID from his wallet. The on-call manager was notified and arranged for a cab to take the student to his off-campus address when he regained consciousness.
