Hang gliding
Sept. 26-27
Soar like an eagle in the purest form of flight! Fly tandem with a professional certified instructor pilot. Imagine a bird’s eye view of beautiful Lookout Mountain from 2,000 feet. The group leaves from Weston House Friday, Sept. 26, noon, and stays at SCAD-Atlanta that evening. The jump is Saturday, Sept. 27, and the group returns to Savannah after the jump. Enjoy a walk to Atlantic Station for dinner and a movie on Friday. The deadline to sign up is Sept. 24. There is a 20-student limit. Cost is $105 per student. Students are responsible for their own meals. To hang glide, you must be at least 18 years of age and weigh less than 250 lbs. Sponsored by the student recreation department.
Skydiving
Oct. 10-11
Get ready for the most exciting time of your life! The Atlanta Skydiving Center experience is like no other. At ASC, you will be accompanied on your skydive by the most enthusiastic skydive professionals in Georgia. The group leaves from Weston House, Friday, Oct. 10, noon, and stays at SCAD-Atlanta that evening. The jump is Saturday, Oct. 11, and the group returns to Savannah after the jump. Enjoy a walk to Atlantic Station for dinner and a movie on Friday. The deadline to sign up is Oct. 8. Previous events have sold out in three days. There is a 50-student limit. Cost is $100 per student. Students are responsible for their own meals. To skydive, you must be at least 18 years of age and weigh less than 250 lbs. Sponsored by the student recreation department.
Paintball
Friday, Oct. 24
Experience the adrenaline rush of paintball—a unique and enjoyable experience for people of all skill levels. Price includes transportation, unlimited use of the greens, all-day air and 500 rounds. Leave from Weston House Friday, Oct. 24, at 10:30 a.m. Students are responsible for their own lunch. Cost is $35 per participant (thanks to a sponsorship by the Student Activities Council).
