Well, it’s a leap year, so we get to enjoy one more day of February. Without the addition of today, our calendar wouldn’t stay coordinated with the sun’s apparent position in the sky. Today, you could play leapfrog, study the Law Enforcement Against Prohibition movement, look at a collective of leopards or watch a Fatty Arbuckle movie. Or you could just do your normal stuff.

Get outside and construct a place for someone to live. Volunteer with the Savannah chapter of Habitat for Humanity. No experience is necessary, so live the working class dream and work on a construction site for a good cause. 8 a.m.

Apparently our first-year students are cranking out some outstanding work in those required courses everyone loves: foundations. Head over to Wallin and check out the best work from drawing, 2-D design and color theory classes. The work will be up until Friday, Mar. 7.

The exhibitions department is presenting an annual printmaking showcase. Woodcut, monoprint, intaglio and lithography works will be presented in this juried exhibition. Holly McCullough, curator of fine arts and exhibitions at the Telfair Museum of Art, will be judging the work. The exhibition will close on Monday, Mar. 17.

The Society of North American Goldsmiths will present an exhibition addressing the generational continuum of metals and jewelry within the larger craft community. It’s guest-curated by Gail M. Brown and focuses on a living mentor and emerging artist. The exhibition will close on Monday, Mar. 31.
