Two plumbers discuss the symbolism behind their erotic dreams, old friends ponder their fate when confronted with a portal with a sign that reads “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here,” an employer becomes enraged with an employee who leaves an explicit sign informing patrons that he has gone to take a s***, a man becomes obsessed with the meaning behind a sign at his lunch counter that says “No Skronking” until he himself is accused of having the potential of being a “skronker”–whatever that is, and many more!

Slideluck is a New York City-based non-profit arts organization that provides an opportunity for artists and arts-appreciators to gather around food, friends, and artwork for an unforgettable night. The evening will begin with a robust potluck dinner lovingly provided by event attendees. At 8:30 p.m., they will dim the lights, hush the crowd, and begin a dynamic slideshow of visual art from over 20 artists. There will be merchandise, drinks, artists books, cookbooks and raffle tickets for sale during the event.
Past contributors include Gregory Crewdson, Spencer Tunick, Chuck Close, Elliot Erwitt, Shepard Fairey, Lauren Greenfield, and others.
“Parker”

To raise money for the 200 Club, the Lucas Theatre will be screening “Parker,” a film about a professional thief (Jason Statham) who lives by a personal code of ethics: don’t steal from people who can’t afford it and don’t hurt people who don’t deserve it. But on his latest heist, his crew double crosses him, steals his stash, and leaves him for dead. Determined to make sure they regret it, Parker tracks them to Palm Beach, playground of the rich and famous, where the crew is planning their biggest heist ever. Donning the disguise of a rich Texan, Parker takes on an unlikely partner, Leslie (Jennifer Lopez), a savvy insider, who’s short on cash, but big on looks, smarts and ambition. Together, they devise a plan to hijack the score, take everyone down and get away clean.

Each participating upscale restaurant will offer a spectacular three-course, prix fixe dinner menu for only $30 per person (not including tax and gratuity). It’s an opportunity that would have likely been heralded by Englishman James Oglethorpe, who is credited with identifying the site of present day Savannah and laying out its now famous and inviting squares. Those defining moments ultimately contributed to the development of Savannah and was the catalyst for our now ever-expanding array of dining options and remarkable chefs. Monthly queer dance night described as “a melt of genders into a sticky sweet spectrum of babes.” Everyone is welcome to drink and dance.
Critical Mass Bike Ride
5:30 p.m.
Meeting at Forsyth Park near the amphitheater
Gathering all cyclers around the area to get together on the last Friday of every month for a massive bike ride. All are welcome, and since this will be ending around nighttime lights are preferred, helmets are not required. The pace of the ride will be set so everyone can keep up. Route is in place. Spoke cards are in the process of being made and will be distributed for a small fee. After party is being planned.
Grit Pretty Group Exhibition
Non-Fiction Gallery, 1522 Bull St.

Grit Pretty is a group exhibition expounding on themes of Southern Culture and the identity of the “southern artist.” Lifestyle, economics, gender roles, class, and representation are examined and questioned. The exhibition features the work of six local and non-local artists working in installation, painting, video, and photography.
Sketchbook Show Closing Reception
Ashmore Gallery, 412 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Closing of the week-long exhibition featuring musical guests Koko Beware, Thee Holy Ghosts, and Wet Socks. The gallery showcased the sketchbook pages of over 100 artists from across Savannah and the world.
