Die Mommie Die

Mondanaro Theatre at Crites Hall
This production of a comedy film written by Charles Busch revolves around Angela Arden, a singer trapped in a loveless marriage. Watch the madness unfold as she tries to get out. “Oasis”
8 p.m.
Trustees Theater
The performing arts department presents “Oasis,” an original dance performance. Vincent Brosseau, a performing arts professor, created and choreographed this multimedia production. There will be a pool of water on stage, where performers use the water to reactions to different situations they are presented with. The show will be on Feb. 27, 28 and March 1 at 8 p.m. and March 2 at 3 p.m. The performance on Feb. 27 is free with a SCAD I.D. and $5 on the other days; general admission is $20. Disney Imagineering Design Finalist Presentations
6 p.m.
SCAD Museum of Art
See what the SCAD team presented to Disney when they were selected as one of the six finalists for Disney’s Imaginations. This competition seeked out innovative individuals to become Imagineers. The SCAD team presented a concept for a “Disney Living Library at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, California.” This park combines storytelling, game play and interactive learning in an immersive environment. Tybee Mardi Gras King Cake Party
7 p.m.
Coco’s Sunset Grille
Share a King Cake and see who gets lucky. These festive cakes are decorated, cooked and bear a small plastic baby. This little trinket is hidden in the cake and supposed to bring luck to the person that finds it. Start the celebrations off right with live music at Coco’s and get a cake! Mop Water: An Etching Exhibition

The Warehouse
This etching exhibition features students’ prints created by carving into different mediums, such as copper. This exhibition will feature work by Franki DeSaro, a third-year painting major.

The Sicky Nar Nar
Sami Lee Woolhiser presents an interactive installation with sound by Kevin Lee Jr. Woolhiser’s previous work includes the “Passage” installation on the front of Port City Review. For more information, go to the event page.
N’awlins Costume & Cocktail Party
Fannies on the Beach

Kick off the Mardi Gras celebrations on Tybee Island with live music. Brad Randall & the Zydeco Ballers will perform while guests sip cocktails and snack on h’orderves. Events of the evening include a krewe cup and costume contest. For more information about the event, go to their website.
Saturday, March 1
Mardi Gras Street Party
2 – 9 p.m.
The festivities start at 2 p.m. with the Mardi Gras Street Parade, where there will be bead-throwing and plenty of purple, green and gold. After the parade, Brad Randall & the Zydeco Ballers perform live at 3 p.m. and play until Voodoo Soup takes over 6 p.m. While these New Orleans inspired tunes blast, guests can grab some crawfish and gumbo at the “Ragin’ Cajun” tent. Fearless Release Concert

City Coffee
Celebrate the release of T.J. Miller & The Bridge’s debut album, Fearless. T.J.’s band has performed several times in Savannah, including events such as Blues on Broughton and SCAD’s Summer Swarm. This event isn’t just for brides-to-be. Designers, photographers and students looking to be a part of the wedding making magic are welcome. There will be a fashion show at the Jepson Center featuring gowns from Oscar de La Renta, Monique Llhuillier and Vera Wang. Earlier in the day, from 12:30 until 4 p.m., guests can check out the bride exposition at Telfair Academy, where future brides can find everything they need to plan a wedding.
