With the height of summer in full swing, one of Savannah’s prime tourist seasons has begun. People worldwide are here to see the stunning parks, incredible architecture and rich history the city offers. With the wide variety of activities and sights, visitors are also given plenty of dining options for every meal– especially brunch. Brunch is a staple in Savannah, emphasizing the laid-back yet elegant culture of the city.
With many brunch spots to choose from, I’ve narrowed the options down to my personal favorites. These must-dos are all perfect places to spend a delightful morning in Savannah.
1. Cafe M
Cafe M is my top choice for brunch in Savannah. This french-inspired cafe offers some of the city’s best quiches and baked goods. Located on Bay St. and Abercorn St., the cafe has beautiful views of live oak trees, Spanish moss and historic buildings. Its quaint interior and classy ambiance are Savannah’s ideal environment for brunch.
Emma’s order: Normandy Sandwich on a croissant, add pickles (just trust me!) and Lavender Latte
2. Clary’s Cafe
Clary’s is the go-to option for a classic diner-style breakfast featuring piping hot coffee, hashbrowns and eggs how you like them. This down-to-earth cafe is a staple among Savannah locals and SCAD students. Its menu features plenty of options like eggs benedict and classic southern dishes. Clary’s has something for everyone.
Emma’s order: The Victorian and drip coffee
Fox & Fig Cafe is the iconic vegan brunch spot in Savannah. Every menu item is entirely vegan yet never compromises on deliciousness. Located on Habersham St. and E. Harris St., this cafe also has lovely views of Troup Square. This is the perfect place to start if you’ve never tried vegan food.
Emma’s order: Chipotle Mac and Savannah Breakfast tea
If you’re looking for a unique experience in Savannah, Funky Brunch Cafe is the ideal spot for it. With a griddle built into every table, you can cook your own pancakes and create fun shapes and designs. The menu also features brunch classics like omelets, french toast and breakfast sandwiches. Funky Brunch is the perfect option for families with children.
Emma’s order: Flippin’ Funky at the Table with strawberries and drip coffee
Last but not least, The Collins Quarter. This is one of Savannah’s more well-known brunch spots, attracting visitors year-round. With two prime locations, you’re guaranteed to have one of the best tables in the city. My favorite location, the Forsyth Park location, offers stunning views of Forsyth Park. The Collins Quarter is a great pick for anyone new to Savannah.
Emma’s order: Bagel and Lox and Thai Iced Coffee
