SCAD Student Media is looking for a talented photography student to join District, for the position of Photo Editor. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 22. Applications must be submitted via email to District’s editor-in-chief at editor@scaddistrict.com with the application forms in the right panel.
Successful candidates will be eligible for an interview in the coming week of Jan. 22-25. All positions come with a weekly stipend that varies according to the responsibilities involved. Editors must have a GPA of at least 2.5 and be actively enrolled at the Savannah campus during each quarter of their contract. All SCAD students are eligible to apply.

Photo Editor
The Photo Editor is in charge of all the photography aspects of District. Not only do they perform a lot of field work, snapping pictures at events or locations as required, but they are also in charge of overseeing and posting photographic content for stories before it is published. A keen eye and good sense of composition is necessary. Attending meetings and office hours are also part of the requirement. A flexible schedule and versatility are also strongly preferred. Lastly, Photo Editors take care of the mentoring staffers interested in taking photos for potential stories.
