District’s dose of good news
I am a firm believer that good news, regardless of how big or how small, should be celebrated. In a world where news channels and social media are constantly reminding you of a chaotic world, it’s satisfying to hear good news. Here’s a collection of good news from fellow SCAD students.
Ellie Maxwell, a first-year fashion design student, recently made the SCAD equestrian team. She has been showing horses in her home state of Wisconsin since she was twelve. By joining the team, she will be able to learn new skills like jumping. To her, being at SCAD is “the best of both worlds,” because she is able to ride horses and pursue art.
Ev Sanzo, a first-year film and television student, recently got a Nintendo Wii. This was an exciting delivery sent to him by his father. As the winter quarter has swiftly started, you can find him and his roommates taking study breaks on their new Wii.
Kay Moak, a first-year production design student, recently found out that she’ll be able to assist in the March production of “The Play That Goes Wrong.” Kay will be on the run crew, where she will gain experience in her major.
Olivia Ringham, a first-year interior design student, recently won two free Morgan Wallen concert tickets. On a Saturday morning radio show, Olivia had the best luck and the most knowledge about the country music star, which got her these tickets.
