Dorm Dining: Banana Nutella Crepes

Fancy recipes are pretty great. If done right, you have the pleasure of mixing a concoction of tasty morsels all while reveling in the fact that you have mastered the art of cooking.
However, lengthy and complicated recipes have a time and a place.
So instead of yet another long and occasionally tedious recipe, let me introduce you to one of my life hacks. Banana Nutella Crepes can be made in your microwave in about a minute and a half; perfect for those days when you wake up half an hour before your 8 a.m. classes. This recipe takes little to no mental energy and is perfect for a quick snack or rushed breakfast.
Banana Nutella Crepes
Ingredients and Supplies
- •1 Microwavable plate
- •1 Flour tortilla
- •2–3 Taplespoons of Nutella
- •1 Banana
- •1 Knife
Preparation
- Unscrew the lid of the Nutella and remove it. Microwave the unsealed Nutella for 15 seconds to soften it and make it easier to spread.
- Slice the banana into pieces. The width of the slices is up to personal preference. However, the thinner the slices the easier it will be to fold your crepe.
- Lay the tortilla on the plate, then spread the softened Nutella onto it.
- Arrange the banana pieces on half of the tortilla. Feel free to pile the banana pieces, but keep them on half of the tortilla.
- Fold the side of the tortilla that is not covered in bananas and microwave for 30 seconds.
- When the crepe is done microwaving let it sit for a few seconds. This lowers your chances of burning your mouth and allows the flavors to mix. Once the crepe is sufficiently cool, chow down on your snack and enjoy!
