This weekend, SCAD’s Equestrian Team will compete against other Intercollegiate Horse Show Association teams at the Fall Series Horse Shows. The shows will take place at the Ronald C. Waranch Equestrian Center in Hardeeville, South Carolina, and run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9. Admission and parking are free. Concessions will be provided by Joe Loves Lobster.
SCAD’s team assembled the jumps and decorated them with pumpkins, Spanish moss, flowers and other elements of fall. Some of the jumps have organically cut pieces of wood and some are painted to resemble natural birch logs, keeping with the theme.
Students may register as vendors and sell their artwork during the shows. Vendors should set up the day before each competition and are responsible for their own equipment, including tents, tables, chairs and electrical cords. Wi-Fi will not be available at the vendors’ patio. Interested students may contact one of the team captains, Kristin Stine (kstine20@student.scad.edu) or Ryan Genn (rygenn20@student.scad.edu), to register.
