Excuse the speedy farewell
Hey Stingers!
As the terror of graduation comes around, finals become unbearable and my sleep cycle gets a little messed up. I don’t think I would ever enjoy any other way of finishing off my collegiate career other than in sweat and tears.
I would like to take this last post to thank my friends for the opportunities, the laughs and the support they have given me in the past three years. I don’t think I could have ever done it without you guys.
You guys are some of the most talented, heart-warming and incredible people that anyone could ever ask for. You’ve been there through my tears, tantrums and all-nighters (seeing as some of you have pulled through a few with me).
You guys have made the move away from home much easier. I didn’t know what was going to happen when I came to SCAD; I never toured the university beforehand, nor did I know anyone that was also coming in. Looking back now, I notice I had a lot of unanswered questions in 2014 and it was all right, they didn’t stay unanswered for very long.
My friends became a very important part of my time at university. The key was to surround myself with the right kind of friends, though. The ones whose faces I want to see and greet at any and every hour of the day, friends that are just as crazy and open as I am and make me feel proud to be their friend.
I would also like to thank the team at District for letting me create a student column in my last quarter. It was a pleasure introducing myself to you guys!
Thank you and best of luck on future ventures!

P.S. There’s a new columnist coming in the fall, so stay tuned!
