Fresh Advice: Mail
From a sophomore student looking back at his freshman year at SCAD comes Fresh Advice, the run down on all of the SCAD programs, operations and secret tricks you need to know to make a smooth transition to SCAD life.
Who doesn’t like to receive mail? I know I do, unless it’s a bill. Receiving mail is very easy enough at SCAD; to view your mailing address log into MySCAD and under the “My Info” tab you will find you mailing address. Your address will look similar to the following:

The mail center will email your SCAD email when you have received a package or letter mail, and then you can head down to the Mail Center outside the Hive. You can only send mail to the SCAD Mail Center if you are living on campus. The SCAD Mail Center also allows you to send mail out, by having either a prepaid shipping label or paying to ship it from the SCAD Mail Center using a credit card or SCAD cash.
SCAD additionally has Amazon Lockers located at Montgomery Hall and the Hive. To mail to a locker, log into your Amazon account, and under addresses select Amazon Pickup Point or Locker. Searching 31401 for the zip code should provide the following lockers:
- Dominga located at the Hive.
- Prateek located at Montgomery Hall.
Picking a package up from an Amazon Locker is easy. You will receive an email containing a barcode and a code, and can either scan the barcode or type the code at the locker to pick up your delivery.
