On Feb. 14, 3rd Act’s President, Logan Coffey — a third-year performing arts major from Greenville, South Carolina — and Meagan Mulgrew — also a third-year performing arts major from Fort Walton Beach, Florida — will present “Human,” a show they co-directed. “Human” is a cabaret-style performance show with scenes and monologues that display the ups and downs of life, love and relationships.
“Vague and broad, we know, but that is part of the point,” said Coffey. “It strives to encompass everyone’s struggles and desires, forcing us to realize that underneath, we aren’t much different than the strangers sitting next to us.”
Samantha Binkerd from Thomasville, Alabama, Gia Erichson from Mandeville, Louisiana, and Regan Taylor from Carrollton, Texas — all performing arts majors in different years — will be the three leads. The performers are set to showcase haunting vocals, power ballads and a keen ability to make their characters accessible by diving into them.
This Valentine’s Day, drop by Crite’s Hall to see a show that captures what it means to be human: the heart-ache, the pain, the joy and even the comical and unusual aspects of life.
“Human” will be held in the Mondanaro Theatre in Crites Hall at 8 p.m with free admission.
