At the “Wonder Women: Producers” panel discussion, the line-up of producers Nicole Lecky, Alison Owen, Jurnee Smollett, Christine Vachon and Laura Berwick spoke to a packed crowd about their careers in producing. They gave advice to students about jump-starting their careers in film and touched on their past and current experiences in the industry. An open Q&A session took place after the panel, and the women fielded questions from members of the audience, including SCAD students. The panel led to an impactful discussion about the future of the film industry, especially in regard to the importance of representation in their field.
