The Jewish Educational Alliance’s (JEA) upcoming Jewish Film Festival is among the dozens of Jewish film festivals nationwide and features varied forms of international cinema. Films including narratives and documentaries will be presented all throughout each week, some involving an evening meal or dessert reception beforehand.
The JEA acts as one of the most prominent Jewish community centers in Savannah. Their center provides local volunteer and employment opportunities and offers several events throughout the year.
The Joan and Murray Gefen Memorial Savannah Jewish Film Festival is held to advocate and commemorate Jewish history; the films have been chosen specifically to promote the array of Jewish culture.
Movies such as “Quality Balls: The David Steinberg Story,” “The Jewish Cardinal,” “Igor and the Crane’s Journey,” “Above and Beyond” and many more will be presented throughout the festival.
The event will be held at 5111 Abercorn St. from Jan. 21-31.
Full festival passes can be purchased here.
