SCAD’s student run media outlets will host a job fair from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9 in the D at the Hive Community Room.
District, SCAD’s student news website, and SCAD Radio, the online student radio station, are recruiting students to fill several volunteer and paid positions for winter quarter.
The job fair will allow students to drop in and learn more about opportunities available at District and SCAD Radio. Specifically, Student Media has openings for the following positions:
• Writers and bloggers
• DJs and online personalities
• Photographers
• Videographers
• Copy editors
• Graphic designers
• Cartoonists and illustrators
• Street team marketers
Many of the positions are unpaid volunteer opportunities, but both organizations offer paid monthly stipends to students who show talent and dedication.
Students involved in SCAD Radio and District regularly win national and state awards for their work. Alumni from both programs have earned positions at some of the nation’s most recognized brands, including the New York Times, Target and Disney.
If you’re interested in joining either team, attend the Student Media Job Fair at noon on January 9, 2015. The event will be held in the D at the Hive Community Room, 231 W. Boundary Street. For more information, email the adviser or simply show up.
