Winter isn’t over yet, but that isn’t stopping the springtime weather from slowly hurrying up the season.
Nothing is better than a little early planning and we thought it would be good to get up to speed on some of this spring’s upcoming fashion trends.
Andrew: “One of my favorite upcoming trends is the structured style. Clean cut and sharp, it really conveys a polished and refined look. Like me, you can pull off a structured ensemble with a sport jacket; pointed collar tips, angular shoulder cuts, and even small details like how the zipper ends early and subtle seams in the middle, help emphasize the structure of the jacket as a whole.
Also, it’s OK to incorporate more than one trend at a time. Bold colors are considered to be a constant trend, so I paired the blue jacket with red shorts to make more of a statement.”
Anna: “I love white. I feel like it’s a very feminine and elegant element to have in any wardrobe.
And luckily for me, it’s also huge in fashion this season, especially as an entire outfit. I also love the touch of sheer detail. For my outfit I wore white oxfords and pants, and to vary it up, a sheer white high-low top.
When going for a look that doesn’t vary in color, try wearing a piece that has a subtle print or pattern like I did.”
Gage: “Accessorizing is one of my favorite parts of getting dressed and sunglasses are my favorite accessory, so I’m thrilled that statement sunglasses are coming back this spring.
Although mine are simple and black, they’re thick and noticeable enough to be a prominent piece in my getup. But don’t be afraid to get a little wild with your choice of shades. Geometric and round shaped frames and pastels are just some of the styles that I’ve recently seen.
I wore them with a light peter pan collared sweater for more of a mod and vintage look, another trend this upcoming season.”
Until next week,
Gage, Anna, and Andrew
