‘No Mother Should Worry’ captures the consciousness of Japanese youth

Friday, April 21 at the Non-Fiction Gallery on Bull St., Art Rise Savannah hosted the exhibition “No Mother Should Worry” by artist group AKATEN (赤点). The group consists of four members: Alberto and Carlos Ossorio, Jiexian Huang and Hanae Kawai. The opening made references to Japanese pop culture in the form of two-dimensional art, paintings, sculptures and interactive installations.
Jennie Rivera is a transfer writing student from New York City. She is in charge of assisting the Chief Copy Editor. When she is not advising writers and ensuring manuscripts are up to AP style practices, she is enjoying the quiet ambiance of Savannah’s art galleries and searching for more stories to write.
