The Savannah Folk Music Society presents the 23rd annual Savannah Folk Music Festival. The weekend begins on Friday from 7–11 p.m. in Ellis Square with a variety of live folk performances. Saturday from 2 – 3 p.m. there will be finals for the Youth Song Writing Competition and a two-hour blues workshop from 3:30–5:30 p.m. by musical legend Doug Macleod at First Presbyterian Church. From 7:30–11 p.m. at the Savannah Arts Academy there will be an old-time country dance with special guests “Curley Maple.” The main event will be on Sunday from 2–7:30 p.m. at Grayson Stadium in Daffin Park, featuring five local country-blues musicians.
