It’s been a while.

Port City Review is back, in new hands and changed for the better. As we’re transitioning, shedding our layers and coming back new, we want to hear how you’ve done the same. We’re exploring how time can transform us—how we can grow and develop yet still maintain our identity. In this season of our lives, we’re all becoming some new version of ourselves, for better or for worse. As we move to different places and surround ourselves with different people, we begin to translate our being into new forms. Sometimes, our art is the only thing we have to hold onto.

How do we hold ourselves in times of change? What do we lose as we grow up, and is that loss a good thing? Can we make something beautiful out of change or transition or even grief?

We’re looking for pieces that keep record of who you were, are, and will become. We want your stories of change, of transition, of learning what you’ve lost or gained. We want work that is significant to you and the culture around you.

We’re changing, and so are you. Show us how.
