This week marks National Animal Control Week, which promotes responsible pet ownership. As a public service, the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Animal Control Unit will offer a low-cost rabies clinic for dogs and cats from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. April 17, at Berwick Animal Hospital.
Vaccines will cost only $6 per animal.
Pet owners must keep dogs on a leash or kenneled, and cats should be maintained in crates.
