Yesterday, January 15, Savannah celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day with its 39th annual parade. Every year, the MLK Observance Day Association hosts the parade, along with a variety of other community events, to raise money for college scholarship awards benefitting students from the Savannah area.
The 2018 parade began on Liberty Street at 10 a.m. and looped around the downtown area, ending on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
