The SCAD Museum of Art recently honored the life and legacy of abolitionist and preeminent visionary Frederick Douglass. The uplifting celebration included artist panels, gallery talks, a lecture by Pulitzer Prize-winning author David W. Blight, a performance by the Savannah High School Marching Band and a reception open to the community. Thanks to the SCAD Museum of Art’s exhibition, members of the community were able to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn first-hand about the legend himself.
