From February 4-6, SCAD TVFest will celebrate honored guests from this year’s prominent TV shows, featuring award-winning actors, directors and writers. Previous guests have included Cynthia Erivo (Elphaba in “Wicked”), Bryan Cranston (Walter White in “Breaking Bad”) and numerous other successful actors, directors and writers in the television industry. To kick off 2026, TV fest invites an especially exciting group of honorees to the SCAD Atlanta campus. Let’s look into who’s coming.

Adjoa Andoh

Known most famously for her role as Lady Danbury on “Bridgerton,” Adjoa Andoh is a British actor, director and writer. She has starred in over thirty films, including “Fractured” and “Invictus.” While she has had a significant career in Film and Television, Andoh has also garnered success on the stage. She is best known in theater for her role at the Royal Shakespeare Company, and for co-directing “Richard II.” Andoh has a diverse set of skills in writing and acting; she has even presented a Ted Talk about “What determines who we are?” Her background and skill in writing, speaking and performing are carried into the roles she plays on television. When asked about her part as the character of Danbury in a BBC interview, Andoh states, “You’re given a character on the page and then what gives them blood is your blood.”

Quinta Brunson

Quinta Brunson is an award-winning actor, comedian and producer. She is best known for creating and writing the hit TV comedy, “Abbott Elementary,” where she stars as the character Janine Teagues. The show follows the lives of elementary school teachers working at an underfunded public school in Philadelphia. Sitcoms have the unique ability to make ordinary life and difficult situations seem fun, and the beauty of this shines in Brunson’s character. In an interview with Amy Poehler, she states, “That’s what happens in Abbot, just day-to-day issues and that we turn into hilarious conundrums and situations.” Brunson was also featured as a voice actor in “Zootopia 2,” which came out in late 2025.

Aldis Hodge

Aldis Hodge is an American actor and writer featured in a range of films from “Die Hard” to “Hidden Figures.” He started his career at the age of three, acting in television ads and TV commercials– even appearing on Broadway for the 1994 revival of “Showboat.” In his most recent show, “Cross,” Hodge stars as the Homicide detective, Alex Cross. The show follows a homicide investigator and a forensic psychologist, delving into the minds of both the detective and the killer in this new series. In addition to his roles in television and screenwriting, Hodge is also a painter and designs watches.

Cast and crew of “The Pitt”

“The Pitt” broke barriers last year with its unique approach to a medical drama: each episode is a single hour of a day. The show follows a group of overworked ER doctors as they struggle to keep up with a waiting room full of patients in an understaffed hospital. The entire season spans a single fourteen-hour shift, aiming to recognize the reality of the day-to-day lives that healthcare and ER workers face. The show won five Emmys at the most recent award show and is currently airing a second season on HBO Max. This year, SCAD TVFest will welcome cast members Taylor Dearden, Amielynn Abellera, Brandon Mendez Homer and Laëtitia Hollard, as well as writer Cynthia Adarkwa.
