Seniors paint memories from ‘A Place That is Not Yours’

Friday, May 19, fourth-year painting students Bethani Wells, Agnes Waruguru Njoroge and Olivia Cook opened their group exhibition, “A Place that is Not Yours,” at the Wellmont Gallery. The pop-up gallery contained paintings, sculptures, installation pieces and videos that, according to the show’s website, “speak to the ephemeral quality of place.” The overall theme of the exhibition is inspired by geographical landscapes specific to each artist.
